Meet WOFY
|

American Canine Training is pleased to herald the arrival of our newest family member "Wofy". Wofy is
a Chihuahua mix who came to live with us on January 15th at 8 weeks of age under somewhat unusual circumstances.
While watching TV one day, A.C.T. trainer Carol Frisby saw an odd commercial for something in
a can labeled "WOFY". Later she noticed noticed billboards with the same message and no further explanation.
Driven by curiosity, Carol typed the letters into a search engine. Up popped a brief explanation that "WOFY"
was part of an upcoming ad campaign for a local news station and that it meant "Watching Out For You". Although
American Canine Training has no affiliation with the original advertisers, Carol thought that "Wofy" would be a
great name for a puppy since it sounds so much like "woofy" and that a "Watching Out For You" canine might
be fun. Later she jokingly mentioned the idea to a friend who told her that she just
happened to know about a little puppy needing a home and the official Americn Canine Training "spokespuppy"
was born.
Wofy's very speical job here is to educate through example how easy it can be to train
your puppy. Over the next several weeks we will chronicle Wofy's, life, lessons and day to day progress into happy
dog adulthood. Follow her saga through potty training, her first vet visit, her first nail clipping, socialization, her
first group class and more.
Check in frequently for updates on her progress and look for her upcoming WOFY
blog.
